Why Bamboo Chair Mats Rock
So about 2 years ago, I was using vinyl and I realized that it was falling apart. So I decide to just throw it away. I did not want to get anything, I figured I could just use the carpet underneath my chair. Well, after some months I realized that it was damaging my carpet. So I just shopping around for office chair mats. There were a lot of companies selling them. But I knew if I was going to purchase something I was getting something that would last and look good.
So I though about just getting all new wood flooring in the office and asking the building owner to take off 6 months of rent or whatever amount it would cost. But I realized that it was still a lot of money plus if I moved, I would have to go through the same process. So I saw vinyl, but I was not going to be stupid and buy that again.
I started looking into bamboo chair mats. I only noticed a few companies selling them. So I decide to purchase and here is my experience.
First I had forgotten to check the measurements, I just winged it. But it had still fit luckily! But anyways, I purchased the dark cherry type bamboo chair mats.
I was able to be there at the time of delivery which was nice, because I have a office on the 3rd floor and I am a little person so I am not great at lifting. But I soon realized how light it was and how it rolled up. Which is great because I am sorta a clean freak! On the weekends or every two weeks I vacuum. I am able to move it around clean.
I did decide to move offices and so I was able to bring the bamboo chair mat with me, which was really great because I had already fallen in love with it. And because it rolled up, it fit in my car easily. It fit in the truck, because I had boxes in the backseat.
Also I really like the dark cherry because I have dark wood desk and the wood on both look blend well together. The bamboo chair mat really looks professional and clean. Since I have had it, it seems to hold up against some of my coffee spills and food droppings. I sometimes make a mess, but it does not leak through or stain the wood. Which I was sorta of nervous about.
I also like that it is flat against the flooring and keeps it from sliding around. And when I slide around on my chair on the floor mat, it is smooth and my wheels do not scratch the mat. My overall experience has been great and I hope that this blog helps other people to realize that bamboo chair mats are really better than vinyl and carpet any day of the week!
I have found some retailers selling them online, I can not remember who I bought it from. But I sell amazon, anji mountain, and livecofriendly and green and more. I really that livecofriendly site because of that cute little fish. But either way, buy bamboo chair mats, you will be super happy that you did. And do not be concerned about the price because vinyl it just isn't worth it long term.
Also I will post some more interesting articles about bamboo. I have really gotten into bamboo this that and the other. I am looking into bamboo clothing. I hear that it is 3 degrees cooler than regular cotton.
